Green cabbage has tightly enveloped superimposed pale green leaves. They have thick, broad, deeply veined, waxy finish.
Cabbage has the highest amount of some of the most powerful Antioxidants found in cruciferous vegetables. Each cabbage leaf is rich in Vitamins A, B6 and C, magnesium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, beta carotene, potassium and fiber. It fights cell damage, infections and bronchitis. It is extremely low in calories and aids weight loss. It also has a chemical called tartaric acid that stops conversion of sugar and carbs into fat.
How to Store:
Remove outer leaves if brown and wrap in a plastic bag or newspaper and refrigerate for up to 10 days.
